Terms of Service

Effective 14 August 2026

The short version

This is a comparison website. It publishes research about VPN services, earns a commission when readers subscribe through its links, and cannot guarantee that every detail is current at the moment you read it. It is not a VPN provider, it holds no account of yours, and nothing here is legal advice. Everything below is that, spelled out.

1. Agreement to these terms

By using vpntruthlab.com you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site. We may update these terms; the effective date above will change when we do, and continued use after that means you accept the revised version.

2. What this site provides

VPN Truth Lab publishes comparisons, reviews and buying guides for consumer VPN services. The content is general information for the public, not personalised advice about your circumstances.

In particular, nothing on this site is legal advice. Whether using a VPN is lawful, and what you may lawfully do while connected to one, depends on where you are and what you are doing. Those rules vary considerably between countries and change over time. If that matters to your situation, ask someone qualified in your jurisdiction rather than relying on a comparison table.

Nor is it a security guarantee. A VPN is one tool with a specific and limited function. No provider recommended here — or anywhere — makes you anonymous, and we do not suggest otherwise.

3. Accuracy, and its limits

We take accuracy seriously. Provider details are compiled from documentation and published records, pricing is checked against each provider's own site when a page is published or updated, and our method — including what it cannot establish — is set out on How We Review.

Even so, the content is provided "as is". VPN providers change prices, alter plans, add and remove features, move jurisdictions and revise their policies, frequently without notice. A page that was accurate when published can be wrong weeks later.

Always confirm the current price and terms on the provider's own site before you buy. If you spot something out of date here, tell us — corrections are welcome and we act on them.

4. Commercial links

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you subscribe to a provider after following one, we receive a commission. The price you pay is unaffected. This funds the site, and we would rather say so on every relevant page than hide it in a footer.

Commercial links are identified in the page source using standard markup so that both readers and search engines can recognise them.

5. Third-party sites

This site links to websites operated by other companies. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, their products, their pricing, their privacy practices or the quality of their service. Any transaction you enter into with a VPN provider is between you and that provider. Refunds, billing disputes, cancellations and technical support are matters for them — we have no access to your account and cannot act on it.

6. Intellectual property

The text, structure, comparisons and design of this site belong to VPN Truth Lab. You are welcome to quote a reasonable extract with clear attribution and a link to the page you took it from. Reproducing pages wholesale, or republishing our comparison tables as your own work, is not permitted. Provider names, logos and trade marks belong to their respective owners and are used here to identify the services being discussed.

7. Acceptable use

Please do not attempt to disrupt the site, gain unauthorised access to it, scrape it in a way that degrades service for other readers, or use its content to mislead people about what a VPN does.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, VPN Truth Lab is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site or your reliance on its content — including any decision to purchase a particular VPN service. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing here affects statutory consumer rights you may have under the law of your own country.

9. Availability

We aim to keep the site available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Pages may be changed, moved or withdrawn at any time without notice.
